Why make a Bachelor issue? Well, it seems to me that this lifestyle is
of so much interest to so many people. There are so many perspectives
on the subject. The bachelor life isn’t all just about going to
strip clubs and shacking up with as many women as possible. Now, sure
there are those who live this life (and spend many a day trying to remember
what happened the night before), but there are also those who enjoy more
of a restrained type of bachelor life. There are also those bachelors
who do not want to be living a bachelor life (i.e. those ready, willing,
and able to get married each and every day of the year). Not that there’s
anything wrong with that.

the next time you're around and about, look around and look at a guy.
there's only two possibilities: either he's single or with
someone. if he's with someone, ask yourself,
what is it about him that attractive? even better, if he's single, ask
yourself, what is it about him that causes him to remain alone?
with an issue so pertinent to us, we decided to devote an entire issue
to it: the bachelor issue. what is it about
certain men that make them exude an aura of confidence like Bond just
walked in while others appear more dead than the artificial plant. now
i know i've lived a rather short life thus far (23 years old), but from
my observations, it's one trait that severly seperates us - confidence.
i was 20 or so when i gained my confidence. before, i was your typical
nerd with glasses and a heavy emphasis on web programming. but then something
within me cliched. i realized i wasn't here to impress anyone or live
up to anyone, rather simply, i was here to impress and live up to myself.
as corny and trite as that may sound, it's true: if you're truly happy
with yourself, the confidence will come.
so as you read this issue, understand the way certain people remain single,
and why certain people choose to remain single.
